What we store, and what we don't
Draft. This page describes the site as built and must be reviewed by the site owner and qualified counsel before public launch.
In the game
The game runs entirely in your browser. It keeps a few preferences in your browser's local storage: your last fighter, difficulty, the sound setting, and (in demo mode) which matchups you voted for on this device. Nothing about your matches is sent to us.
Voting
When community voting is live, a vote stores the matchup you chose, the time, and an anonymous session identifier from a cookie named bb_sid. The cookie is random, signed, httpOnly, and lasts up to one year. It exists to limit casual repeat voting from one browser. It does not identify you and does not establish one vote per real person. When voting is not live, votes stay in your browser only.
Forms
Matchup suggestions store the two names you entered, your note, the time, and the same anonymous session identifier. They are held privately for review and are not published automatically.
Event updates store your email, optional name, which updates you asked for, your consent, and the time. We use it only to send the updates you selected.
Participant applications store your name, company, role, email, city, country, optional public profile link, boxing experience, your short explanation, your confirmation that you are at least 18, and the time. We use it only to evaluate and contact you about a potential future event.
We do not collect medical records, identification documents, or payment details.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or third-party scripts are included in this build.
- We don't sell or rent any of the data above.
- We don't use cookies for anything except the anonymous voting session described above.
Where it lives
Submissions are stored in a managed database configured by the site owner, accessible only server-side. The hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for operations and security.
Retention and your choices
Retention periods and the formal process for access, correction and deletion requests will be defined by the site owner before launch and published here. Until then: if you want something removed, use the contact route on the contact page once it is published, and we will act on it.
